United State Legislative Branch

State legislature - State legislatures are the lawmaking bodies of the 50 states in the United States of America. They are the legislative branch at the state level of government, and (generally) perform many of the same duties on the state level that the U.

The Declaration of Independence was the promise of a representative government; the Constitution was the fulfillment of that promise.
